a place to belong

Thank you for visiting First Ozark United Methodist Church! Our mission is to be an obedient community of faith--believing, praising, and loving God as revealed in Jesus Christ--as we respect, encourage, and serve our neighbors.

Founded in 1852, First Ozark continues to work toward celebrating all people in our society and committing ourselves to the rights of men, women, children, the elderly, and people with disabilities. We invite you to explore what we have to offer, and we hope you visit us soon!

News from first ozark

Veterans Day

We invite our veterans to join us at one of our three worship services (8:30, 9:00, or 11:00 a.m.) to be recognized on Sunday morning! Thank you for sacrifices made and your service to our country!

Building Generations of Faith

Thank you to everyone for your interest and for being a part of our Building Generations of Faith campaign! Psalm 145:4 has been selected as our campaign scripture verse. Our church has and will hold true to this verse throughout our campaign. Psalm 145:4 states, “One generation commends your words to another; they tell of your mighty acts.”

Operation Christmas Child Monthly Items

We are collecting items each month to be packed in shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child later this year. A list of the items can be found by clicking HERE. Three drop box locations within church include: the Family Life Center, Workroom, and Narthex area in the Sanctuary. Thank you for contributing to this ministry!

Watch on Facebook or YouTube Live, Listen via Radio (104.9 FM)

You can watch and listen to our Sunday morning contemporary service on 9:00 a.m. on Facebook and YouTube Live. Our 11:00 a.m. traditional service can be heard via radio on 104.9 FM. Full-service video of our traditional service is posted on Tuesdays at 11:00 a.m. for playback.

Audio Volunteers for Sunday Services

Hey everyone! We are in need of volunteers to run the sound board for the 8:30 a.m. traditional service. This would be a great opportunity to serve our church in an extremely necessary way. If you attend the NOW@9 or 11:00 a.m. service and would like to learn how to operate the board for those services, that's great! We welcome any who would like to volunteer! Each of our services have audio/visual areas where you can serve! If you are interested in volunteering for this aspect of service to our church, please contact Jim Boynton via email at ozfumctech@gmail.com or via phone at 334-477-3035.

Souper Day

We are in need of more food for the freezer to distribute on Souper Day! Soups, meats, casseroles, side dishes, and desserts are welcome! Fresh fruit and individually wrapped snacks will also be accepted. Deliverers are needed as well! Please meet us in the FLC Kitchen at 10:00 a.m. on the first and third Tuesday of the month.

*If you do not have social media, our 11:00 a.m. traditional service is available via radio on 104.9 FM.
