WELCOME

We are so you've visited the website of First Ozark United Methodist Church. It is our mission to make you feel like you belong, even before you get to the parking lot. Our church family believes that they have been welcomed with radical hospitality by Jesus, and we are called to welcome you in the same way (Romans 15:7). We know you have questions, and some are answered below. If there is something we didn't answer please contact us using the "Contact Us" tab above, or call our church office at 334-774-2569. We cannot wait to meet you!

What Time Should I Arrive?

The 2023 Summer Schedule has been extended into the Fall:  we will have one (1) service at 10:00 a.m. in the Sanctuary.  You can come in person or watch live on Facebook or YouTube.  The service is also broadcast on 104.9 FM at 12:00 noon every Sunday.

Sunday school classes start at 9:00 a.m.

Visit the worship tab for more information on our worship services and Sunday school classes.

What Should I Wear?

It doesn't matter what you wear, as long as you're comfortable. If you want to get dressed up, that's great. If you'd rather wear jeans and a T-shirt, that's fine too! We just want you to be HERE.

Our mission is to grow in Christ, not to be the "best-dressed" church. Therefore, come as you are and be ready to learn about Jesus.

What is Your Style of Worship?

10:00 a.m. Combined Worship Service:

As we move into the fall season, we will maintain our Sunday service at 10:00 a.m. in the sanctuary. This service features an uplifting combination of contemporary and classic hymns, as well as messages that draw from the teachings of the Holy Bible.

Please note- the 8:30, 11 & 9 am Services are on Hiatus for the time being.

At our 8:30 and 11:00 a.m. services, you will experience a traditional style of worship. In the sanctuary, music is often lead by organ/piano and our marvelous choir, and the songs come from The United Methodist Hymnal. These services practice an order of worship that has been passed down for many years.

At our Now@9 service you will worship in a more contemporary setting. Held in the Family Life Center, our contemporary service is lead musically by our wonderful praise band. The music is largely contemporary Christian music from the last several years, and you might hear a song you have heard on The Joy FM.

Is Childcare Provided?

Yes! We offer nursery care for babies and toddlers from birth to 3-years-old. Our Sunday morning nursery is located in Room 118 on the first floor.

We also have a Children's Worship service.  During the service  children are invited to the altar for our Children's Moment, then released for Children's Worship. However, children are invited to remain in worship on Communion Sundays.
