United Women in Faith

The mission statement of United Women in Faith (UWF) is to connect women through Christian faith to inspire and impact their communities. UWF's mission is to:

  • Connect women: Nurture women through education, leadership development, and fellowship
  • Inspire women: Encourage women to act boldly for justice and transform communities
  • Impact communities: Connect women to inspire and influence local and global communities

UWF is a sisterhood within the United Methodist Church. UWF members are united in their faith and work to improve the lives of women, children, and youth.

UWF members can get involved by: Becoming a member, Making a donation, Finding an event, and Taking action.

We have a very active UWF Unit at FUMC, which is comprised of three circles.  See below for a brief description of each circle:

SUSANNE JOHNSON CIRCLE

This group pledges to various missions of the UMW, contributes locally to the CDC and Aim Higher Hoops, and participates in many seasonal missions such as food baskets for Thanksgiving and Christmas and then cards during Valentine's Day. The circle meets in the morning on the first Tuesday of each month.

LOIS ROBINSON CIRCLE

This circle is composed of women of all ages, with mission projects including Sav-A-Life, the KCLC, supporting the DA Smith and Carroll High band boosters, and school sport teams.  The circle meetings are held in the evening on the first Tuesday of each month.
